I had a whole post planned yesterday. Can't recall it now. Durn.

Some of it was:
- I know why kids traditionally do not like vegetables. Two words. SCHOOL LUNCHES. Only school cafeterias can make broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, and green beans taste EXACTLY the same, with the EXACT same texture. I was talking to a co-worker about this phenomenon in the office yesterday and a kid who was nearby piped up and said, "I like vegetables, but only raw." I like veggies prepared all sorts of ways, but I'd sure rather they served raw ones instead of steamed(boiled)-to-paste ones. Ew.

- My cupcake tattoo is my first that hasn't really been a huge deal. Even though I knew what I wanted, I got it on a whim. I haven't showed anyone at work, I haven't been staring at it. I mentioned it to my mom as a sidenote to something else I had said. ("Oh, Jackie," she said.) I love it, totally, but I'm not geeking out and flashing it to everyone. Which is what I usually do.

- SLEEPY. I would really like to hide out under my desk for a little nap.

If you do want to geek out a little, I'd love to see it.

a-ha! Looks great. I want to get a food tattoo, but I haven't decided what yet. Maybe an oyster.

Thanks! I plan on getting a whole half-sleeve of sweet goodies. Next is maybe a tootsie pop or a banana split or pie. And then little candies for fill-in.

I once met a girl who had a cornucopia tattoo on her belly and every time she visited a new place, she would get another fruit or vegetable tattooed among the rest. She could be all, "Amsterdam was this plum... San Fran was the banana... Chicago was that carrot..." and so on. I thought it was an awesome idea.

My mom used to (and still does sometimes) work in the kitchen of a daycare center. The kids there only eat fruit and vegetables when she makes them because she cooks them properly so they taste like something, instead of just drab olive mush.

Yay for your mom! My mom wasn't real inspired with veggies. We mostly ate the canned variety. Between that and school lunches, I'm suprised I EVER discovered how much I love vegetables.
