i'm sure it's been said in the finer print

I was up too late last night tending to my chili and also feeling weird about an argument*. But when I woke up, I was smiling. Probably the tail end of some happy dream I can't remember.

The custodian I flirt with (henceforth called M) was in my office for the last hour, hanging a bulletin board behind my desk. His boss, P, said, "We had to get up here and do this today. Didn't want to disappoint M's cupcake." That made me squee a little bit, despite my simultaneous inner reaction of, "I'm not anyone's anything! I'm my own!" M and I traded banter about who is going to do better than whom at the bowling happy hour this afternoon. I said we should make a wager. We have yet to set the terms of the wager, but I doubt they'll be monetary.





*Sometimes I get stuck on thinking about an incident and I feel like I can't move on until I've thought about it backwards and forwards, processed it from every possible angle or point of view. I'd really like to be able to turn off that process by just telling myself, "It happened, now I'm over it."
