Oct. 9th, 2008 07:53 amCirculation is my life:
- Checking in and sorting Book Drop stuff
- Checking in and sorting returned or requested stuff from other NCC libraries
- Casing DVDs
- Alphabetizing
Eventually it will be determined what my collateral duties are to be, but right now the library is in a state of moderate confusion. The branch manager is out on sick leave, and my immediate supervisor just returned from sick leave. For now, I am content to do busy work away from my desk. It's amazing how quickly time passes when your hands never stop moving.
I'm happy to be where I am, even though I feel occasionally clueless, exposed, apprehensive. No one I work with is my age or anything near it. Except some of the pages, who are high school students. I am going through a little mourning for the end of my stay at McCullough. And yet, I am totally sure that I made the right decision, and glad that I did.
