I'm making Mahi Mahi with Cilantro Chutney tonight.

The chutney is cilantro, a kiwi, unsweetened coconut milk, garlic, and a little jalepeno. I doubt I'll be able to find a ripe kiwi at the grocery store. So I'm wondering if maybe I could substitute something like a little pineapple or mango? Any foodies care to weigh in?

Maybe they will have fresh pineapple in the salad bar? ;) Either of your ideas sound good. Fish with mango salsa is one of my favorites in summer. I don't get the chutney, though--I've never heard of a creamy chutney! If you're cooking it an underripe mango will fare better than an underripe kiwi, by far.

The sauce isn't cooked, just pureed. Chutney seems to be the wrong word, but that's what the recipe said. Actually, there IS pineapple on the salad bar. So I'm covered if that's the route I decide to go!
