Nov. 24th, 2008 08:11 amMy whirlwind NYC weekend was a blast, and I'll probably go into more detail later, but I really wanted to share one thing that made the trip EXTRA AWESOME:
The Preacher and I stopped at a bakery called Batch while walking from one fun activity to the next. They had fancy cupcake flavors and at first I was going to order a red velvet one with pink icing and edible glitter on top. Then I spotted a pumpkin caramel BACON one. Chocolate cupcake with pumpkiny center and caramel frosting with little pieces of bacon on top. Out loud, I was debating over which one to choose and said, "I want the one with bacon, but it doesn't have glitter on it." A cute girl behind the counter said, "We could put some glitter on it for you." YES. When she brought it to me, she suggested that I might be the first person ever to eat glittery bacon. And that thing was good as hell.
